Dribbling
+ Modric feels fairly weighted on the ball and has good joystick dribbling. With 4 star skill moves and good agility, he can escape pressure using the lane change and roulette making him fit for a playmaking CAM:(9.6/10)
Passing
+ Modric is an excellent playmaker in midfield. His through balls are pinpoint accurate and have good weight on them. His crosses are deadly as well, making him a superb choice for a pass-heavy playstyle:(9.8/10)
Shooting
+ Modric's shooting really surprised me. His finesse shots are expectedly top bins but his power shots too are excellent. If his weak foot can be managed, he is a huge weapon in front of goal:(9.5/10)
Pace
+ Modric is decently fast for his playstyle. He has good agility but can't keep it up for long. Still he's good for short bursts during turnovers:(8.9/10)
Positioning and Stamina
+ With high/med, he is more of an attacking player which is good for a playmaker as he can be mostly found in the second half. However, if you overuse him, he can get tired easily as he has only 4 star stamina:(8.6/10)
Physical
- The only con of this card is his physical. He can be pushed off the ball easily and he is bad when trying to defend. He is almost useless in the air, making him a weak player in the game:(6.5/10)
Final Verdict
Modric is a superb playmaker with underrated shooting, silky dribbling, decent pace and good stamina and positioning. However, he is very weak in the air and not at all defensive so he is best suited for a super sub or CAM role.
