Thuram is definitely not a pace merchant . His size and movement make him feel a bit heavy, especially when turning or trying to catch quick attackers. He can cover ground eventually, but don't expect him to chase down wingers like Dembele and Mbappe.

His defending for a CDM is satisfactory he is able to hold his ground in 1v1 situations which is good for a CDM and he tracks back insanely fast when he or his teammates loses the ball and his ball winning ability is decent.

This is where Thuram shines His strength is ridiculous, and he is very difficult to move off the ball especially due to the fact that he has the bruiser lvl 1 which helps he both shield and push players off the ball.
